Fragility or other age-related conditions are absolutely acceptable to me - everything else can be negotiated.
Expectations should be moderate and flexible - compatible with a non-posturer who has achieved the confidence that brings true maturity. 45 -year-olds scare the hell out of me particularly if they are skeptics.
Please honour my request for an age-related companion. I own and live in one of four high security clusters in an idyllically private garden with pool and would be reluctant to relocate. I would however consider sharing the running costs with two staff / or caregiver if required, with a man who can respect the need for individual privacy a times and also feels free to pursue a non-co-dependent companionship of integrity. Separate suites, each with bathroom and study , should make this possible.
Lots of space, physically and metaphorically ! I think it would be a perfect solution for two people who are adverse to a retirement village with all the hidden cost they don't tell you about ( or the tiny rooms that feel like an isolated prison cell...... ) That is when you have closed the door to living...
