I am a 49 year old man who's life has been deeply inlvolved in theatre and the arts. And no, I am not gay! I am deeper and more emotionally connected than most men and have lived a life that has taken me to an understanding of myself and I have overcome most of life's difficulties due to a mixture of sheer pragmatism, a dose of philiosophy, a belief in humankind and a deep appreciation for women, .
I am romantic, believe in all those things that we all want to feel and experience. I am intelligent , kind, sensitive and very funny! I can cook the basics, have never been married, like children and have a circle of friends from all walks of life. I am a friend for life, maybe too anaytical but strive to understand people. They fascinate me. I love eating out, wine, weekends away and things that are beautiful, whether it is nature, a painting, a song or the curve of a beautiful face and the sway of a woman's hip. I appreciate women but am not a womaniser. I have many close women friendships and in fact, they are why I am on this site. I have been bullied!

I want a woman who is real! She must have a sense of humour, must be on the same intellectual level as me. I love kooky, crazy, slightly dipsy women and can deal with women who have been through pain, I understand that life can deal you a bad hand but I also believe that two people that connect can heal many things. I do not profess to have all the answers but I am a good listener and have the gift of empathy. I like women who can laugh at themselves and I can be seriously silly. I do like to spoil loved ones and I can be the rock that you may need. Take heed though, I am more than someone who you think will save you.
